Its purpose is to establish a minimal, non‑overlapping plugin foundation that all downstream configuration, builder setup, and content systems depend on.
Checklist Objective
Install only the required baseline plugins, apply licenses where needed, and confirm the site reaches an equivalent, known‑good operational posture.
Scope Boundary
This checklist covers:
- Installing required baseline plugins
- Removing default or unwanted plugins
- Applying plugin licenses where applicable
- Confirming no experimental or redundant plugins are present
This checklist does not cover:
- Detailed plugin configuration
- Theme or builder installation
- Performance tuning or SEO configuration
- Optional or site‑specific plugins
Checklist Steps — Plugin Installation Baseline
1. Review plugin authority
- Open: Plugin Baseline — Required Plugins & Purpose Map
- Confirm all required plugins and their documented purposes
- Confirm no additional plugins are planned at this stage
2. Remove default WordPress plugins
- Navigate to Plugins → Installed Plugins
- Deactivate all default plugins not listed in the baseline
- Delete those plugins after deactivation
3. Install required baseline plugins
- Install each plugin listed in the Plugin Baseline — Required Plugins & Purpose Map
- Install plugins one at a time
- Do not install alternatives or substitutes
4. Activate baseline plugins
- Activate each installed baseline plugin
- Confirm no activation warnings or errors appear
5. Apply plugin licenses
- For each plugin requiring a license:
- Enter the license key
- Confirm successful activation
- Do not proceed until licenses are verified
6. Verify plugin baseline integrity
- Review the installed plugins list
- Confirm each plugin has a single, documented purpose
- Confirm no overlapping or redundant functionality exists
- Confirm no experimental or temporary plugins are installed
Required Output
- Required baseline plugins installed
- Plugin licenses applied where required
- No redundant or experimental plugins present
- Clean, intentional plugin foundation established
