This checklist installs the required WordPress theme and prepares the Bricks Builder environment without applying any configuration.
Its purpose is to ensure the builder and child theme are present, licensed, and ready for structured configuration in the next phase.

Install and activate the Bricks Builder theme and child theme in a clean, controlled state, establishing readiness for Bricks Builder configuration.

- Installation of the Bricks Builder theme
- Installation and activation of the Bricks child theme
- Theme cleanup and baseline verification
This checklist does not cover:
- Bricks Builder settings configuration
- Template creation or styling
- Global styles or breakpoints

Checklist Steps — Theme & Builder Installation
1. Verify plugin baseline is locked
- Confirm completion of WordPress Setup 03 — Plugin Installation Baseline
- Confirm no additional plugins are pending installation
2. Install Bricks Builder theme
- Navigate to Appearance → Themes
- Click Add New → Upload Theme
- Upload the Bricks Builder theme ZIP file
- Install the theme
- Do not configure any Bricks settings
3. Apply Bricks license
- Activate the Bricks license using your license key
- Confirm license activation succeeds
4. Install Bricks child theme
- Upload the Bricks child theme ZIP file
- Install the child theme
- Activate the child theme
- Confirm the child theme is the active theme
5. Remove unused themes
- Delete all themes except:
- The active Bricks child theme
- The latest default WordPress theme (retained for safety)
6. Verify baseline behavior
- Visit the site frontend and confirm it loads
- Confirm no theme‑related warnings or errors appear
- Confirm Bricks is installed but not configured
Required Output
- Bricks Builder theme installed and licensed
- Bricks child theme installed and active
- Unused themes removed
- Clean, unconfigured builder baseline confirmed
